Hi Everyone,
I''m in the market for a ~1 carat oval stone, and I''m still a bit confused about what the best proportion is. I''ve read a 1.5:1 length to width ratio is considered ideal (or I suppose just more typical), however some that I''ve been looking at are closer to a 1.3:1 ratio. To me the shape is pleasing, but I wonder if there are any other downsides to this compared to a 1.5:1? Wouldn''t a 1.3:1 reflect light better since it is closer to being round in shape?
Thanks for your help!
