Hi everyone!!!!

Well, I just wanted to announce that I had my baby girl on September 2nd, 2005 at 8:21 a.m.

She weighed in at 6 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 18.5 inches long.

She was due on August 31st and I went into labor on Sept. 1st, but unfortunately, even though I was 5 centimeters, I was having ineffective contractions, so I was induced.

I had to stay in the hospital for a week afterwards because I was having fevers and headaches and up until now, they still don''t know what exactly was wrong with me. I think it was the epidural, but who knows?

We both came home on Sept. 8th!!!

Lastly, even though I know MC warned me about this(too similar to my other daughter''s name), her name is:

Kara Anne (my husband insisted on this!)

I will try to post pictures later on!!

I am so happy that she is here and relieved that she came out okay.

She did have her umbilical cord wrapped around her head one time, so I was a little worried about that, but her Apgars were 9 and 9 and she started crying right away!!! So once I heard her cry out, I knew she was okay.

Thanks again!!

Oh Butterfly!! That is just awesome.. I suppose He hasn''t given up on us just yet!! I am so happy to hear that you both are doing fine!! That is so wonderful.. baby girls are so fun and you have so many fun times ahead for you!!

Thia weekend I watched home videos of my girls.... I cried and laughed and cried some more... Video Video Video!! Before you know it.. she will be growing so fast and you will want to freeze her at every age. Much love and happiness and blessing to you and your girl and family.

My greatest acheivement in life would be, when my baby girl has a child, if she looks at me and says.. "mom... I hope that I will do just as well as you did." May you have your dreams come true and may your daughter achieve hers as well!! There is nothing like REALLY knowing ehat it feel like to see a real miracle and be able to hold that innocence in your arms!

So exciting.. CONGRATULATIONS!! AGAIN!!!

Aww, this actually brought tears to my eyes when I read it....

I wish all of our daughters feel this way about us.

Since I have been home I notice the littlest things bring tears to my eyes. Even when I am watching TLC, A Baby Story, which I have been watching every morning now. Every time the baby is born, I get so emotional and start crying because I am so happy for the parents. Plus, watching the show makes me feel like I am going through the birth once again.

Thank you for the kind words and I do look forward to the day when both my daughters will say that to me.

Congratulations! Kara was one of our finalist names too, but we wound up going with Julia. If we ever have another girl, Kara will be right at the top of the list!

I too was totally into the Baby Story right after I gave birth to my kids. And I would sit there and cry too!

I''m glad you both are doing well. I had horrible headaches from the epidural -- those drugs can really do that to you!

Congrats Butterfly. I have two little girls two and they are such a blast. please post pics soon.

congrats, Butterfly! I think Kara is a beautiful name- I really like it! And it goes nicely with Kayla too...

can''t wait to see pictures of the little cutie

Congratulations on your new baby girl! I love the names the you have chosen for your daughters.

Congratulations Kayla! Enjoy all the little moments ahead. They really grow quickly!

Oh is there anything sweeter than a newborn baby girl? I think not! My ''baby'' is now 21 years old but the ''smell'' of an infant can just take you back in time. . . they''re just like puppies - they don''t stay little long!

Congratulations to you - please post pictures when you can!

Congratulations to you on your new baby girl!
Babies are so fun. My family is full of little boys, so no pink for us! Have fun with all the little bows and pink pink pink!
I wish you and your family all the best!
(try to get a n a p in whenever you can!!)

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful well wishes!!!

Me and the baby are doing fine! I am breastfeeding, so it"s so easy at nighttime when she wakes up. Just pop a breast in and she falls asleep once she"s done!!!

When she''s awake during the day time, well that''s a different story. She is very colicky, so it''s hard to do stuff around the house. I''ve resorted to carrying her around in my baby carrier while I do stuff around the house.

I promise to post pictures, I am just waiting until she is one month old.

Thanks again everyone!!

I am new to this board, butterfly. So I wasn''t aware of your story. But when I read the subject line...I bit. How does someones house grow by two feet? -- Must have been something to do with the hurricanes...better read this one!

Ha Ha. Two adorable feet? I love it. Thanks for the giggle. And congratulations. I so wish I were in your shoes. Do enjoy!
