Our broken parts can be mended. A lesson from Japan's Kintsugi

As I recognize myself to be a broken person as the result of a bad childhood.
Maybe that's why I loved this!
But if we stop to consider, aren't we all 'broken' in some way?

To me self-honesty seems healthier than pretending, concealing things, or 'putting on a happy face' or turning to drugs or alcohol, to escape a life of bitterness.

last time i looked on etsy they had some very reasonably priced silver kintsugi kits

Hi,

What a lovely philosophy. Acceptance of my own and others flaws is an idea I embrace. So beautifully shown with gold in the cracks keeping its original form. My dad used to glue my mothers broken china, but he didn't have the gold glue among his tools. If it had cracks, you kept it and still used it.. It was not thrown away. Nice topic.

i was really touched she thought of me
the post office didnt care though and it arrived in mulitble pieces
