Oreo Cookie Cake
1 Stick butter, melted
42 Oreos, crushed (I put them in a large ziplock and crumble them from the outside) (save the rest of the package to crush and sprinkle on top)
8oz cream cheese, softened
2-8oz containers Cool Whip
2 C Confectioner''s Sugar
1 package (small/regular) instant chocolate pudding
1 package (small/regular) instant vanilla pudding
3 C milk (I use skim)
Melt butter in a bowl in the microwave, mix in oreos well by hand, and press firmly into 9"x13" pan or one a bit larger. Mix cream cheese and confectioner''s sugar well. Fold in 8 oz Cool Whip and spread on crust. Mix both puddings with milk (use a mixer on a fairly low setting). Let it sit for a minute until it starts to firm up and spread it on the cream cheese layer. Top with remaining 8 oz of Cool Whip. Sprinkle with remaining crumbled Oreos and refrigerate covered for a minumum of one hour. I recommend at least overnight but preferably 24 hours...the longer you chill, the firmer it sets.
