Hi All

I just found this rock throught PS. What do you think?

Thanks

Can''t see anything.

Can you list the report number and the carat weight as listed in the report?

I upload the file but I have no idea what happens to it. Here are what we have?

Round Brilliant
Measurements: 6.32 - 6.35 x 3.96 mm
Carat Weight: 1.02 carat
Color Grade: E
Clarity Grade: VVS2
Cut Grade: Good
Proportions:
Depth: 62.5%
Table: 58%
Crown Angle: 35.5°
Crown Height: 15.0%
Pavilion Angle: 40.6°
Pavilion Depth: 42.5%
Star length: 50%
Lower Half: 80%
Girdle: Slightly Thick to Very Thick, Faceted (5.0%)
Culet: None
Finish:
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: None

It is a Good cut because of the very thick girdle. A 1.02c should have a diameter of approximately 6.5mm.

At 6.35mm diameter is equivalent to a 0.95c stone, so you are paying for a large price jump at above 1carat mark but with nothing to show for it.

Oh so it is not really a 1.02c?

carat is a measure of weight. The stone is a 1.02c but face up dimension, it looks like a 0.95c ideally cut stone.

Uhmm how about this one

Round Brilliant
Measurements: 6.37 - 6.40 x 4.00 mm
Carat Weight: 1.01 carat
Color Grade: D
Clarity Grade: VS1
Cut Grade: Very Good
Proportions:
Depth: 62.6%
Table: 59%
Crown Angle: 35.0°
Crown Height: 14.5%
Pavilion Angle: 41.6°
Pavilion Depth: 44.5%
Star length: 55%
Lower Half: 80%
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted (4.0%)
Culet: None
Finish:
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Medium Blue

Never mind... in too late.

Pavilion angle is much too steep for that crown angle, the stone will leak light through the pavilion instead of reflecting back, will look lifeless.

thanks cold-stone

Not this one, it is what we call here a steep deep angled diamond - it will leak light and not be the best performer, pass on this diamond.

The first is a decently cut stone but not cut to top standards, you can do better than that one too but it depends on the standard of cut you are looking for.
