Hello! I hope this is the right place to post this question. If not, please point me in the right direction :)

I'm currently looking for a wedding band for my solitaire and I've fallen in love with this Anna Sheffield tiara band. I can't see the ring in real life as I'm in Canada and seeing as the band is made to match her specific ring I fear it won't fit my engagement ring.

Here are my questions that I'd love your opinions on:

1. How hard would it be to buy the diamonds to make a similar ring (but not exactly the same because it would be a custom fit) for my engagement ring?

2. If I could get assurance from the website that the ring would fit around my ring, does $925 for 14k white gold and 1/10ctw seem reasonable?

You would have to send them your ring in order for them to guarantee that it would fit your ring perfectly. Plus the shank would look best made to match yours. So if you don't want to do that, you will need to find a local jeweler who is known for outstanding bench work. You would not buy the diamonds, the ringmaker selects the stones and you pay for the finished ring. I will tell you that unless you have the two rings soldered together, that band isn't going to work well because two rings do not stay together all the time unless you are wearing your rings really tight.

You may need to factor in for two bands when you start wearing it you may find it will look odd with one band

You could ring the changes have maybe one white and one pink diamonds

or halo your ring for a similar effect

Diamondseeker2006: I definitely don't want to send my ring to them, putting it in the mail and sending it across the Canadian/American border is just too scary haha. I have a very good jeweler so I will talk to him about it. That's a good point about the band possibly slipping around and annoying me.. something to think about

Sphene: I really don't like halos. I love that this one looks like a strange little diamond beard, so I think I'd be happy with just the one on the bottom.

Here is how I wear my wedding set. The e-ring was custom made and the two wedding bands were bought ready-made. First of all they sit together really well for pieces that weren't made to by worn together. Secondly, yes the do roll a bit, but not that much and it annoys me surprisingly little :) The upside is that the e-ring can be worn separately and, when they are worn together, there is sort of a halo look without it being halo. I personally would (for obvious preferences) recommend getting two :D

One thing to add: my e-ring is platinum and the wedding bands are 14 K (palladium alloyed) white gold. The e-ring has a prong/basket design (my own). Since platinum is harder (at least I think so - or if not, then for some other reason), the prongs have left marks on the wedding bands (but not the other way around). I wouldn't wear the bands on their own, so I doesn't bother me, but just something to be aware of :)
