Thanks to everyone for their help in my last posts!

I have now come down to a final choice but I wanted PSers view before I finally purchase my stone - so excited!!

What do you think of this:
0.91 E VS2 AGS 0
Depth 61.4
Table 56.4
CA 34.8
pa 40.6
HCA 0.8

$5220 - good price? do you think it is a nice stone?

I''ve attached pic of IS. one of the shafts seems a bit funny and the shafts don''t seem to meet or line up with the arrowhead. Is this something that I shoudl be concerned about? or is this as good as it''s going to get for price.

Can''t wait to hear what you all think????

Was the stone advertised as being a Hearts & Arrows diamond? (You don''t say in your post).

If not then I would say it has a lovely arrow pattern for an AGS0 stone... but it might not be quite up to scratch for a H&A.

Thanks Cleo.

It wasn''t advertised as an H&A but I first discovered PS through falling for HoFs in a B&M store. Will this stone still give me what I am looking for in terms of fire brightness etc.?

Still don''t understand diff between ideal and h&a - which is better?

This stone will be amazing, great IS image. Don''t worry about the H&A pattern, you won''t be looking at it anyway when it is in the setting. I would snatch up this stone.

H&A is a very specific pattern of optical symmetry that only happens within ideal cut stones. They are not necessarily more beautiful than other ideals, but they are referred to as "superideals" because they demonstrate the greatest cutting precision. Whether you like H&A better than other ideal cut stones is personal preference.

It is a great stone. You shouldn''t be able to tell the difference between it and a HOF stone if you place them side by side.

If it wasn''t advertised as H&A then it''s perfect! You have got some pretty great optical symmetry in an awesome AGS0 Ideal cut diamond - and I''d buy it!

My diamond is AGS0 (but not H&A) and it''s stunning. You will LOVE this diamond.

As the other posters said, AGS0 is a great cut, but H&A is an optical phenomenon caused by super-precise optical symmetry (and very careful cutting!). This article explains it really well: http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/NewCutGrading/ScintillationToPatternorNotToPattern/

You go right ahead & buy that diamond.. and we''d love to see pictures!!
