IMG_9286.JPG IMG_9282.JPG IMG_9282.JPG Hi everyone,

I have been a lurker on this forum for the past 10 years. I post very occasionally in the CS section. I stumbled upon this princess cut diamond yesterday and thought who better to ask than the pricescopers! What do you all think of this diamond? I have attached the link to the GIA report. https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=6242668322&s=1553663648766

the diamond was set in a simple 18k four prong setting. can someone please tell me whether the quoted price of USD 7,000 is reasonable amount to spend on this? Or can I get a diamond with better performance with the same amount of money?

i look forward to hearing your comments! :) Thank you.

The price is reasonable. We can not tell anything about the light return from the pictures or GIA report. We would need better up-close images of the
stone and/or an ASET image. If the jeweler doesnt have one you can buy one yourself.

On the setting...for my taste, its a little wide. I would probably want something thinner more like 2mm or maybe a little bigger. Obviously, get what you
like/want but since you were asking for opinions...

All i can add is that i have been looking for a princess cut with similar characteristics for a few months now.... and have not found a good one for that price range.

Looks like a good deal to me. :)

Make sure to look at it under the desk to remove the effect of the 'magic lights' (tell them before you do this!) and ask to take it to the window / outside, so you can look at it in flat cloudy daylight or sunlight, away from the store lighting - this will help show how it performs in the real world, so you can see if it's bright from edge to edge and sparkly without spotlighting.

It has a cavity on a corner which is a huge red flag.

Thank you so much for your opinions everyone :) it's been very useful!
