Hi,

I think I''ve found the one...what do you think?

Princess Diamond

There are links on the page for the actual photo, ideal scope and AGS report.

I have verified that the diamond is eye clean and very white/bright.

I am thinking about having it mounted by James Allen in this setting

Setting

Opinions? I''m really struggling with the setting so if you have a setting that you think would work better I''d be interested.

Thanks!

Hi there! I'm by FAR an expert on diamonds, but I just thought I'd let you know that my SO & I are working with Excel to have our e-ring made, and they've been very helpful. I havn't seen the ring yet, but I'm sure it's going to be beautiful! The setting you picked is very unique and pretty! I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that!

Just wanted to give you my opinion!! Goodluck!!

Hi Tiggs,

The diamond looks very promising, and that is good that you have verified it is eyeclean etc. The setting is unusual, are you sure that is the style your GF would like best? What exactly are you hoping for with your setting?

Thanks for your opinions.

I''m looking for a solitare setting that will make the diamond pop and that will look really good with the square stone. It would be a benefit if the setting would sit flush with a wedding band but not entirely necessary. It''ll be set in white gold.

Thanks for the Excel reference. It''s always nice to hear from those that have bought from the same place.

I would have to agree, and ask the same. My guess is, this is a setting someone either loves, or they don't. Unless she specifically asked for a setting like this, it might be better to go with a simple Tiffany like setting.

I agree, it might be better to go with a classic Tiffany style.

Thritto and a Tiffany setting would pop!

I have shown this setting and she really likes it but isn''t 100% it''s the one. Which was the reason for the question on the setting. I''ll take a look at the Thritto and Tiffany settings. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I meant I agreed, that is what thritto meant. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh well, I would ask her what setting she loves.

Hi Tiggs! Unfortunatly, I cannot comment on the diamond as I am not as familiar with princess cuts. However, you will find lots of great help here from other PS members. Regarding the setting....well, I do agree that either you will like it or you won''t. Personally, I do not care for it that much and I think it is mostly because the head seems very bulky to me, maybe even a bit masculine. However, excel does have many nice options. I really like this one: vatche royal x prong
Take a look in the SMTR forum for lots of great ideas. Finding the perfect setting is often harder then the diamond, but it is lots of fun!

I really like this one too, and if your budget allows, would like it over the one I picked. I picked the one I did, going by the price of your other, in case that is what you were wanting to spend.

I really like the settings Miss Ellen and LR picked!
