A quick review suggests a promising diamond (get an ideal scope?), at a great price (little stock to compare to, but it looks that way).

It needs to be checked to make sure it isnt one of the less than 1% of strong to v-strong Fluorescence that causes milkiness in sunlight otherwise its not an issue.

An ideal-scope image to check symmetry would be good also.
Does it list the lower girdles on the cert?
You want it with gia rounding to 80 not to 75 on the cert.

Sorry, I wasn''t reading closely. The good thing about the florescence is that it must explain the discount. There may be no bad thing, but it is a feature. I think in a night club type setting...it will floresce. You may or may not like this.

GIA doesn''t include a length to width ratio on their reports for round stones and they don''t use the word ''ideal'' to describe the cutting. Are you sure it''s a GIA grading report that you''re looking at?

thank you all for the info. I checked the report again and yes it is from GIA the report is from april 2006 and lists the cut grade as excellent and there is no mention of the length to width ratio. The vendor put this with their "ideal" cut diamonds which is where the wording comes from. The lengh to width was also from the vendor.
