I would appreciate some opinions on this stone please.

Cut Grade: Excellent

Thanks

It''s a bit shallow, and the table is too big. You could also go down to an eye-clean I/SI1 and save a lot of money if that is an issue. I''d also like to see some crown and pavillion angles to give a more informed opinion. However, did you see this stone? Did you love it? Also, does this stone have a certification? GIA/AGS are the more preferred labs.

Cut is the most important, even above color and clarity. It will really make your stone sparkle and shine. I''d shoot for 60-62% depth, 54-57% table, 34.5-35/40.5-41 crown/pavillion angles as a rough estimate.

Did it come with a lab report? If so, what lab?

Julie''s pick has potential, we''ll see after the sarin. Also, don''t forget to ask about the pricescope discount for pricescope vendors. It''s about 5%. I''m not going to be checking email this holiday weekend, but JulieN is more of an expert than me and I have seen her pick some gorgeous stones, and other''s will chime in too.

Thanks for the responses,

It is a GIA certified stone.
Crown angle is 32.5º
Pavilion andgle is 41.0º
No cutlet

I think you can do better, for starters it is too shallow with a large table. If you have seen this diamond and like it that is the main thing, but you can definitely improve on the cut quality. What is the price roughly if you don't mind me asking?

I don't know what your budget is, but if it was my money I would snap this puppy up! One colour grade lower and one third of a carat bigger...
