The HCA is acceptable, under 2.0. https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

Next step is to compare the Idealscope pic to this chart and it looks fine to me.

BTW, what is the price?
Often name brands are priced much higher than no-name well-cut diamonds that are just as good but MUCH less expensive from good vendors.

Price is $2350 and then a 1.5% discount for wire transfer. So $2314.75.

I was concerned about this as well, the True Hearts vs an AGS 0. Is there a difference in brilliance between the two cuts?

You have have compare the cut standards of that brand to the range of specs that make the AGS 0 cut grade.

Frankly, I'll bet you and I would not see the difference between diamond on the opposite ends of these two ranges.
Pros may, but you and I will likely not.

The stone looks great! I don't think you or I could tell the difference between an AGS0 and an AGS0 True Hearts to be honest. Both should look about the same!

Your price of $2315 sounds on the high side, compared to these PS vendors.
I found these by using the Diamond Search tool above under the RESOURCE tab.

love the proportion...

Here's one that's about $300 cheaper. $2000 for the diamond without the 1.5% wire discount.

Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.63
Cut: ID
Color: I
Clarity: VS2
Certificate: AGS
Depth: 60.5%
Table: 55.3%
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Negligible
Measurements: 5.59*5.62*3.39
Crown Angle: 33.9
Crown %: 14.80
Pavilion Angle: 40.9
Pavilion %: 43.20

I think it's better, although they don't have hearts and arrows images.

Agreed?

Whoa!
Slow down cowboy, or cowgirl.

The four numbers we put into the HCA are averages of the 8 sides of a round diamond.
That means some numbers could be high and others low, though it is a wonky cut the average of the numbers seem "perfect".
A person with one hand frozen in ice and the other hand in boiling water feels, on the average, just fine.
The Idealscope pics would expose such a diamond.

1. Cowboy.
2. Not a good choice without the idealscope pictures?

It may be.
You just don't know without an IS pic.

Step one: HCA
Step two: IS pic

Alrighty. I've requested the idealscope images and will upload them once I get my hands on them.

Great!
BTW, you are going to get a superb diamond at a superb price!!!!
She ( I assume ) is going to love it.

Thanks for not buying crap and coming here AFTER the purchase and asking how you did at your local maul. :knockout:

I can't stand the diamonds offered at the mall. I take a long time to think about things like this and have been researching for over a year now. I'm ready to pull the trigger soon, hence my advice seeking.

Thanks for all the help!

I ended up buying the latter of the two above diamonds without the IS images, but I think this will be every bit as good as the first one. It was a True Hearts diamond from James Allen (labeled that way in their system, but didn't show that way on their site). I also ended up saving about $300 between the two diamonds. If there is a difference, I doubt it justified the $300. The ASET images look good, or so I believe. Thoughts?

Thanks again for the help!

I'm wondering if the red circle in the center will take away from the brilliance? Seeing as how a "perfect" round has a green center?

Meh....whatever. I'll be more than satisfied either way.

So here's the hearts image and sill waiting on the idealscope.

Not as crisp as the first....although I don't know how much this image plays in the role of brilliance.

Hi Turny,

I wanted to clarify that this diamond is not part of the TrueHearts Collection and was not sold as a TrueHearts diamond. It was listed and sold as an AGS Ideal. The diamond was intended for the collection, but failed to meet the standards of the brand. The hearts image made it onto the website in error.

All the best,

I must have misinterpreted what the agent told me. Regardless, it's not a big deal at all - I'm more than certain this diamond will impress me. And the difference between the two (I'm hoping) isn't night and day and thus, wouldn't justify the extra $300 I'd have to spend for it.

Thanks
