.46 Round
5.00x5.02x3.05

SI2 (eye clean)
Ideal Cut
1.1 on the HCA

My only concern is that it only has AGS paperwork, not GIA.

AGS is good, can you post the proportions of the diamond, depth, table, crown and pavilion angle, girdle thickness please? Even though this probably is a great diamond, this info is useful for the sake of completeness.

AGS and GIA are both excellent labs. AGS grades fewer stones that GIA which is why some people are not familiar with them. But AGS Ideal cut is a desirable cert. It''s probably fine if it is AGS Ideal and scores 1.1 on the HCA.

Looking very good, thank you! The crown and pavilion angles would be useful for the sake of completeness as I mentioned, but it looks to be an excellent diamond!

oops sorry.

crown is 34.2
pavilion is 40.8

Thanks! No worries, looks like a great diamond!

Seems like a good looking stone, and AGS certs are very accurate so no worries.

So far the stats look great! What you would also like to look out for is girdle painting.
Girdle digging will be out of the window cos yours is an AGS Ideal. But from what I''ve read, it seems that AGS tolerates a little bit more girdle painting. Both are excellent labs though. I am not very good at explaining girdle painting, but this weblink does an excellent job of explaining girdle painting. http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/NewCutGrading/Painting/

can you guys please take a look at this diamond for me? It seems good to me but this si going to be my first purchase so I want to make sure everything is good. I have to wait until tomorrow to speak with someone at James Allen about it. Those inclusions won''t be visible to a naked eye will they?

and PLEASE!!! no one steal my diamond out from under me!!! ;)

Hi outofthepark, No worries, We won''t steal the stone from you. =D Inclusions wise, if James Allen says it is eye clean, then it shld be. But keep in mind that the definition of eye clean means looking at the stone from a social distance, somewhat rather like wearing it on your finger and you looking down at it, not right up close in front of your eye.

Do ask James Allen for the ideal scope pictures of the diamond as well. You would want to see the light return of this diamond, and also ask him for any Sarin reports on the diamond. You may want to read this link to know how to read Sarin reports better. http://www.goodoldgold.com/Technologies/DiamondScanners/Sarin/

Do also check the girdle bezel (bzl) and girdle halves (hlvs)% stats, and see that the figures are about the same. a minor difference of 0.2+/- is no big deal. What you would want to look out for is girdle painting. Since this is an AGS ideal, there shouldn''t be a problem with girdle digging. This is very impt as girdle digging and painting can affect the optical performance of the diamond by a lot. For more on girdle digging and painting, you can read up on this weblink: http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/NewCutGrading/PaintingandDigging/

Just got the sarin and ideal scope. What do you all think?
