Why exactly are you going for such a diamond on such a budget ----------------
Because he's convinced that he can find the "deal of the century" on eBay, and no one can tell him any differently, Val, so it's pointless to try.
It's been gently suggested to him repeatedly by many different posters to work with a reputable vendor. He even had a diamond from ebay sent to an appraiser only to find out it wasn't what it was cracked up to be. After that, he claimed he would stick to a reputable vendor, but I'm guessing that resolve is out the window again.
I don't quite understand why he keeps coming here with stone after stone after stone asking what everyone thinks, because the answer doesn't really change at all. Over and over, it's been said "you can do better".....to no avail.
Frankly, I think it's a complete waste of time, and I think it's taking an awfully big risk with a major purchase. However, it's not my time, and it's not my money at risk (thank god!), so as long as he's happy with how he's spending his time, I guess that's all that matters.

Finchuck et al,
Sooooooo EGL identified this Diamond.
It is not enough to quote a grading report from EGL when there are more than 1 EGL labs.
Which EGL did your report?
And when was the report written ?
It might interest you all to know that not all EGL locations are as precise as others.
Uncle Marty of course----------------
