that is the link to the info about the diamond. I want to know if it is worth asking for additional info. I''m not sure if the depth and table are good. Is there a better cut for radiants other than ideal (rb-hearts and arrows)

Hi Abbymax,

I just purchased a 1.71 radiant and I spent probably 6 months researching before. What I found out is that on the fancy cuts like the radiant you have to see them to really get a feel for how they strike you. In the end I asked the gemologist I was working with to find stones within certain parameters. The one (out of 7 I looked at within my parameters) that out shined them all I would not have looked at if all I saw was the GIA cert. My gemologist's source told her that this diamond was gorgeous and worth a look. Boy was she right!!! I have not seen a radiant with more fire and sparkle than this one!

There is no visible bow tie.

Will Diamond-USA let you see it before final purchase? Will they let you see more than one for comparison?

Good luck!!

can I ask you the range in which you paid for that stone. What are the similarities in price as compaired to a round brilliant? What are the diminsions of your 1.7? Does it look bigger, as big, or smaller than a round brilliant of a similar size?

Hi Abbymax,

I paid a bit higher than a round of the same color and clarity. I bought at a brick and mortar so I expected to pay more. My case is very different than the average here on Pricescope. I opted for a diamond that is a bit deeper and sacrificed some surface weight because of it. (I am probably the only one on PS that has done that!!

) HOWEVER, to me the surface weight sacrifice was worth the fire and icy look of this diamond, it took my breath away! So it faces up smaller than a well cut round brilliant of the same ct weight. I have posted pictures of it on "Show me the Ring".

It is 1.71 F VS2 (very clean VS2!) 7.24 x 6.32 x 4.44.

I am completely in love with this diamond!!
