Ok, I viewed it several times. It's just not that well cut, it sparkles more on the pavilion, than it does on the crown/front view (not what you want). You (well me) can also see it's rather leaky. If you wait til it starts to bring the crown/face around, and then just stop the video and look, then stop/start again and keep repeating that process, you can see that not only is there not much life (brilliance/fire/scintillation) to it (especially under the table), but it looks like you can see the background through the stone. Not good.

Onemax,

I beleive looking at pictures will only tell you the facet structure which look to me like a 4 main cushion modified brilliant. I don't put a lot of weight into inferring optics from the pictures.

I did look at your video on myspace which makes it very clear, it is exactly as the posters expected and commented, what we would term "the crushed ice" variety with a some little flashes and a lot of dead zones.

If you like lots of little flashes you might want to consider going with a modern cushion brilliant. Just go on Vimeo.com and type in "Modern Cushion Brilliant" and you will see some videos jon has prepared.

You will get lots of little and large flashes in a well cut cushion modified or a modern 4 or 8 main cushion brilliant so I would suggest you ask your vendor or the vendors here to show you them.

To see a comparison of your stone's general appearance versus what is most preferred here try this video http://vimeo.com/3164922.

Please don't think that GOG signature cushions are your only alternative, there are many different chunky faceted cushions and Rhino on Vimeo has done many videos showing the differences in them.

Good-luck,

CCL
