Hello All,

First of all this site rules. Can''t believe how many hours I have spent on here. Thanks to all for thier input, very helpful!

First time buyer and think I may have found a stone, info is below. This price compares well to the in house stones listed here but not so well to the virtual listings. Any one have any opinions on this stone or suggestions for other stones? I''m trying to keep everything around 5K.

Princess
1.08
H - anything less then this looked yellow compared to the side stones on the setting.
SI2 - The inclusion isn''t that bad, some minor scratches that I could only see under a microscope.
Depth 69.9
Table 69
Crown Height % 11.3
Girdle 2.3% (not sure how to interpret this as it isn''t thin to thick for example)
5.61 x 5.60 x 3.99
Cert - GCAL
Polish - VG
Ex Sym - G
Opt Bril - EX
Opt Sym - G

List price $5,075 will give to me for $4,400

I live in the Philly area.

Best Regards,
Jason

Jason, welcome to PS!

It''s really hard to offer anything helpful about fancies just by the data.

Is it possible for you to get images of the stone....perhaps ASET or Idealscope images?

I agree, please post an image

Wow that seems a little expensive. I got my 1.15 asscher E, VS1 Ideal Cut for 5,000. But then again I did buy it from an online site. Maybe you should try online?

Thanks. I''ll try and get a picture. Thoght it was a little high in price. What online site did you use? I''m a little nervous about buying online because I can''t see the stone. I guess I am worried about not being able to see the inclusions before I buy. They could vary so much from a small scratch, to a black dot, or a bubble, or a cloud? How can you be sure about what you are getting? Do some of the online vendors send you actual pictures? Thanks again!!!

Reputable online vendors will supply you with pictures of the diamond as well as grading information and scan images, such as IdealScope or Sarin to help you assess the performance of the stone without being able to meet it in person. Pricesopers prefer these vendors because they are so data rich. At the top of this page under "prices" you can choose "search by cut" and see many stones with your parameters as well as their prices and images.

Good luck!
