Just want to get everyone's thoughts on this radiant

GIA
2.58 ct
color - h
clarity - vvs1
7.62x7.5x5.05
table - 65
depth - 67.3
Polish - ex
Symmetry - ex
Girdle - sl thick to thick
Cutlet - none
Fluorescence - none

Clarity is a little higher than that I wanted...However, it's been really HARD finding a square radiant that's not lob-sided. Thanks again!

I know nothing about radiants, but I wonder if that one is not too deep? My 1.6 ct. round is 7.6mm in diameter, and this one is about the same diameter but over 2.5 cts! The picture looks good, but I would be hard pressed to pay for a 2.5 ct. stone that faced up like a 1.6 ct. round.

That can't be a Whiteflash pic? Whoever took it needs lessons. Their pic is making an H look yellow. Equal carat weight radiants will face up smaller than a round. There were no other radiants to compare your stone dimensions to in that size

I''ve been having real trouble finding a good square radiant. There was another stone that I wanted but it''s unavailable now. Here''s another one I just found. 2.16ct E SI1, 7.63*7.34*4.84 t-69 and d-65.9. The things that concerns me are the black (dark) sections of the diamond and the table size. Are those valid concerns? Thanks again!

I know nothing about radiants, but from what I see here on PS, 67% depth isn''t deep at all--usually radiants are over 70%. And from what I understand, they do show color easily, which is why they''re so popular among fancy colors. So I can see why an H would show some warmth.

I think the stone is lovely! Hopefully some radiant experts will chime in!

I also know very little about radiants, but for my 2 cents'' worth, I would go with the second stone. Radiants do show color more than other cuts, as people have already mentioned, so I''d take the E over the H, but just make sure the SI1 is eye-clean.

Thanks for all of the replies. This is the plot diagram for the 2.16 E SI1 pulled from the GIA cert:

Is this the kind of SI1 to stay away from? Inclusions towards the center of the stone...Also, the comments section states "Additional clouds are not shown". Should I pursue this one or go with the H VVS1? The 2.58ct H VVS1 is about $3k more...

Thanks again!

You can't judge a radiant by the numbers, it needs to be seen to be judged, also for the weight distribution, as depth doesn't always indicate spread in fancy shapes. I would see if you could get a better pic of the first diamond. As to SI clarities, you can't tell by the plotting diagram of the report, so ask the vendor to describe whether a diamond is eyeclean to your standards very carefully and make sure they understand your tolerances.

Video to 2.58...

What do you guys think? Waiting on the Sarin and Idealscope for the E 2.16 SI1.

I think that what I thought when I saw the pic above shows in the video. That''s a gorgeous radiant. Nice and sparkly. What''s their return policy in case it has more color in person than what you wantto see?

Naw, it''s not really that deep. I like radiants in the 60-65 depth and table range range, but 65-68 is still not overly deep at all and most are cut in the 70''s...but then again most radiants aren''t well-cut.

I think the first is a lovely radiant. It looks great to me and the numbers are about where I would want them.

They have a 30 day return policy...I''ve seen H and G radiant...Tell you the truth, i can''t tell the difference between either. Will there be much of a difference between E and H when mounted?

When comparing them side by side you would probably see a difference, but I wouldn''t worry about it. Both of them will look *white* and the H alone will look white. However, with radiants I''m not sure I''d go much lower than an H like I would with a well-cut round.
