I just got my new ring from ERD and I love it! Unfortunately, it''s a tiny bit big for my finger. I think I''m just a bit smaller than a size 6.

My options are to send it back to ERD for resizing where it''s a bit of a guessing game as to which size I might be. Issues with this are the waiting game that comes along with shipping my ring 3,000 miles away and that the ring may still be the wrong size when I get it back.

Another option is to have a local, reputable jeweler resize the ring. When I mentioned this to ERD, I was told that if I choose to do it locally they can no longer be responsible for the ring and that there would be a service charge associated with any future repairs they do.

What would you guys do? I''m inclined to just have it done locally, but I want to make sure I''ve considered everything.

Thanks in advance!

If you were to get it done automatically, does that mean that ERD warranty will be void? Personally, here''s what I would do if I were you. I would go and get my finger sized at the local jeweler. Get it done twice by 2 different places just to make sure that you get the right size. It sounds like you''re either a 5.5 or maybe a 5.75 but you need to make sure what your size actually is. Then I would ship it to ERD with a note telling them of your size. If they''re going to do it for free and it keeps your warranty intact, I''d do it. Mail it via fedex or ups not usps since both fedex and ups has a day by day tracking and who ever receives your ring, you''ll be able to know since deliveries are signed for. As for the waiting game, that part can''t be helped. I had a pave diamond fall out of my ring within 72 hours of the proposal. I freaked, but I was fortunate that there was a Henri Daussi dealer in my city and they fixed it for me without any questions or additional cost to me. I was more than willing though to ship my ring from FL back to NY to get it fixed. Does ERD work with any local vendors in your area? If not, fedex and ups are safe and insures your ring as well. Good luck!
