Hey all first post here. I need help! I'm trying to find a stunning princess cut engagement ring for my (hopefully) soon to be fiancé. I found a diamond that seems nice on union diamond.

Specs:

Item#: AE0640996
GIA Report: 2151313432 L
Carat Weight: 1.26 carat
MM: 6.07X6X4.14
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Cut Select Ideal™
Depth: 69%
Table: 69%
Girdle:STK-STK
Culet: None
Polish: EX
Symmetry:EX
Fluorescence: None
Price: $9,792.00 / $10,236.00

Any input would be awesome. Also is union diamond a decent site to get a diamond. I'm really wanting very very very good quality without having to pay for the Tiffany name. Thanks!!

GIA does not grade the cut quality of princesses.
AGS does.
Good cut, not color or clarity, is responsible for a good light show or a dull dead diamond.
Cut is the most important but least-understood C.

I'd look for a princess that got AGS's highest cut grade ... AGS 0.
If you don't want to bother with the search, and want perhaps an even better cut get a branded cut such as Whiteflash's ACA, or Goodoldgold's Solasfera.
These will be cheaper than TooFunny & Co. and almost certainly MUCH better-cut.

How does one find out ags grade if it isn't listed?

I think if it was graded by AGS and got a cut grade of AGS 0 it will be screamed from the mountaintops.

Ask the seller, if in doubt but I'd assume if you don't see AGS 0 mentioned it does not have it.
AGS 0 is no accident.
It means the cutter was instructed to follow that cut recipe that results in AGS labs granting that grade.

Physically it is possible a princess cut HAPPENS to accidentally be cut to that range, but so unlikely as to not be worth looking for.

If the seller sent it to GIA, then you can be assured it does not meet AGS's highest cut grade because if it did the seller would have sent it to AGS instead of GIA.
Why?
They can sell it for more if it gets AGS 0 from AGS.
It's worth more.
Sellers know what they have and the don't throw money away.
