Can I ask for impressions?
I'd like to leave the stats out of it and just get general impressions on color.(if that's possible?)
Thanks!

It's next to impossible to guess color based on a couple of photos. My impression is that the old cut stone in the first photo is fairly warm, maybe an N/O/P? The stone in the second photo appears much whiter, maybe an I/J?

Are you trying to decide which stone to keep? If so, go with whichever one your eye is drawn to, all other things being equal (i.e. both stones are fairly priced, eye clean to your standards, etc.).

Hope this helps.

I love it.

I love white stones and I love very very tinted stones. I would set them in yellow and enjoy.

This!

In fact I'd go even yellower if you can!

It's very beautiful!!!

Sorry not trying to make you guess color
....I'm draw to warmer stones, but I don't currently own anything in this range and I'm trying to consider value, price etc....and frankly consider whether I might get tired of a warmer/more tinted look.
And I just want to see how others, who probably frequently look at stones, react.
Again thanks.

The yellow one is yellow enough to set as a yellow stone. I'd make it's prongs yellow and put a white metal/white diamond halo around it! Or I would make a 3 stone and put very white side stones to accentuate the yellow! My tendency is to prefer white stones of near colorless and up or very low colors that you can really see the color!

Both are gorgeous!!

I think on a black background my eyes would be drawn to the yellower one... but your skin doesn't look to have yellow in it (in the pic!) and I think I prefer a more "icy", less "warm" look against your skin (just from the pic!)

But I know cameras can do really strange things to skin colour so, y'know, pinch of salt and all that ::)

I love both of them!

In the second photo I am drawn to the whiter stone though.

Either way, you'll get a winner. But what is your gut feeling? Which one do YOU prefer? That's what matters most! ;))

Is this for an engagement ring?

I prefer the faceting pattern on the warmer stone. Can you get pics in different lighting environments?

It's sort of an upgrade.
I'm already married.I had family stones when we were married and didn't want another diamond.
I think I will end up wearing my wedding band with it - which is platinum.

I love them both but would prefer the yellower one, the bottom stone, if I were purchasing. I like warm stones and I also like the contrast with warm (N/O/P and below) set with higher coloured F/G melee for contrast - if that is a consideration.

I think playing up the yellow in that diamond, if that's the one you choose, would be fantastic!

Both are gorgeous --- which do you prefer?

I love the color in that stone!I also think it should be set to play up the color.Set in a yellow gold cup or set with icy white side stones and yellow gold prongs. Its all up to you though, what do YOU like?

I'm considering the warmer stone. I actually don't care for yellow gold but was considering rose gold. My spouse pointed out it won't match my w-band, so I intend to stick with platinum. (I thought I might wear a new ring alone on my left hand, but my husband has strong feelings about my wearing my w-band, so I need to take that into consideration.)

As a woman who is totally in love with (read: obsessed) low colors, I adore the warmer stone! My eye is immediately drawn to it - it's different than what you see everyday, and the color really compliments the beautiful blocky facets. It's a less traditional choice than a colorless stone, which makes me love it even more.

What color is it?

Sorry for such a late response.
The warmer stone is a P. The higher color stone is a J. They are both AVCs.

I prefer the warmer stone. I actually have slightly warmer skin tone than pictured. (That's not my hand.)
I plan to set the stone in rosé gold.
I'll post pics once complete.

Thank you for all the responses.
I've found this forum to be a great source of inspiration and knowledge!

Oh I'm so glad!! I really prefered that stone and I'm so glad you picked it too! :appl:

And in rose gold --- YUMMY!!! Very excited to see the new ring when it arrives!

Oh I love the warm color! I'm guessing it is an O/P   So pretty!

I really love the warmth of that chunky stone. I agree with those who suggested enhancing the yellow with a yellow cup of some kind. :)
