Opinions on an emerald cut

My sister is looking for an emerald cut diamond ring and have asked for my help. I know NOTHING about step cuts so I have been reading and looking and think I know something ( more like still nothing!!) LOL but anyways, I saw this and thinks it looks good.

What do you guys think? Her budget is $11500. Biggest she can get down to an I maybe even a J color eye clean. Do you think its a good candidate?

Anyone, someone? You love it, hate it... its ok? Look some more, recommendations? I would be ever so grateful for some help,cause I have been on James Allen site so much my eyes are going round and round and round.

It's a contender. You would want to put it on hold and ask for an ASET image to gauge it's light performance. You get 3 ASETs at JA per per purchase so you'll want to pick two more. You can do that or I can help you with it.

The ASET will take 3 business days. And, yes, you do need it and shouldn't purchase without it.

I prefer the I. Why? Better video. Smaller table, higher crown.

But the J is not a bad stone. So let me see if it should be part of your top three or if there are better contenders.

I think your two picks above should BOTH be put on hold and sent for an ASET. I also think you have a good eye for ECs.

Thank you Gypsy and Niel. I think she is ok with I/J. She has a mrb in a J and a tranny in a K. She has not seen a good emerald irl but fell in love with Mayk DBL ring on Jewels by Grace
