Hi PS, new here, but have been observing for some time now.

I wanted your valued opinions on 3 OEC and an AVR. Each of the OEC seem to have nice fire, unique faceting, and fair symmetry. What should be my main concerns for these?

The AVR is an AVR, and has nice sym, fire, and faceting.

This will be for an ering, set in halo, rose gold or unplated wg.

The 3rd link, someone has it on hold already, but it won't hurt to ask. I like the AVR, but prefer OEC, so I might just eliminate it from my options.

Thanks all!

I think the patterning and pastels on the third one is nicest. Would look amazing in rose gold!

Of course the AVR would be the only one cut to modern light performance specs and is most certainly very beautiful too.

I was about to say the third OEC because the faceting is very nice and I assumed the AVR would be much more expensive and smaller. HOWEVER, after looking at the AVR, I absolutely vote that way! Here are my reasons:

- Ideal light performance!
- Upgrade in color (N versus Q)
- Upgrade in clarity (VVS2 vs SI1)
- Similar price, with slight trade-off in size (7.5 x 7.5 versus 7.7 x 7.9) - AVR is also more round

AVR!! :naughty:

None of those OECs particularly speaks to me either.

Don't forget to check Old World Diamonds' inventory too. I believe it's arranged by price, which might help you narrow your search.

I like the third but it is quite expensive. I don't like stones that sit right at the carat mark jump, which in this case, if you need to repolish it, it is likely to take a big drop $/ct should it drop below the 2 ct mark.
