Hello all,

I''ve been shopping for a diamond engagement ring and have learned quite a bit on this forum. The pricescope community & forum has been invaluable, and I''ve really enjoyed my shopping process.

After checking out several diamonds, I think I''ve found the *one* and wanted to get some opinions.

Carat Weight: 2.614
Cut Grade: AGS Ideal 0
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Proportions: Ideal
Color Grade: I
Clarity Grade: VS2

Depth: 62.0%
Table: 55.5%
Crown: 15.1%
Crown Angle: 34.3
Pavilion: 43.4%
Pavilion Angle: 41.0
Girdle: 1.7% - 3.7%

I now have the diamond in my possession for inspection. The dealer/vendor won''t release the actual AGS certificate until I make a final decision and buy the diamond. However, they have posted the certificate online at http://www.orlidiamonds.com/certs/3877.jpg

Thoughts? Opinions?

can''t go wrong with an ags0!

The diamond in question looks great.

However, I''d never heard of that website, so I went to it, and it says to purchase from them you must be in the jewelry trade. So, if you are in the trade, wouldn''t you already know an AGS0 diamond is a good deal?

Looks great! Come back with a picture for us!

I think his dealer is the one in the trade.

pyle, thanks. I suppose that would make sense.

Thanks for the input everyone! I should have clarified that I'm buying from www.abazias.com, who is sourcing the diamond from www.orlidiamonds.com. I'm not in the trade, but rather a first-time buyer who's getting engaged in 2-3 weeks!

They've sent me the diamond for a 10-day inspection, and I've scheduled an appointment to have Nancy Stacy do an inspection (thanks to pricescope again for this recommendation). Hopefully she'll give it a thumbs up and I'll get to finalize my first diamond purchase.

.

Btw, the price on this diamond is $20,750 (if that makes a difference in opinions/feedback)

Sounds like a good price to me, let us know how it goes!

Well, it''s official! I purchased the diamond today and it''s now time to go find a setting.

I''m in the San Francisco Bay Area and see that Joe Escobar and Willow Glen Diamond are Pricescope local jewelers that do mounting work. Has anyone had experience with either one for mounting work? I want a jeweler that I can trust to leave my diamond for a few days.

I''ve also heard good things about Whiteflash and I like some of their settings too. Thoughts on sending my diamond to Whiteflash to have them mount it?

Thanks!

Gypsy and Mara took a trip to Joe Escobar last year and they have excellent settings. I''d go look there first.

You got a great deal on that diamond!

And please come back with the finished product!
