I passed on an SI2 stone that was giving me buyers remorse.
I feel certain it wasn''t "the" stone. Thank you PS members for the feedback that helped me with the decison.

I have another choice that I''m seriously considering.

How does this look:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2379

1.96 H VS2 AGS0
HCA 1.7

Table 53.9%
Depth 62.6%
CrownA 34.9%
PavA 40.9
Pav Depth 43.1%
Girdle thin - med
Crown 16.0%
Flour Neg
Polish/Sym Ideal

I haven''t seen this yet. But before I drive to NY I thought I''d check in with you guys.
The table seems small to me. I wonder does this make the stone look smaller? Darker?

It has an AGS0 grade and seems more like a 1B on the AGA cut grade chart.

I realize that my budget limits my choices a great deal. Although this is 5K more than the original selection, I''m hoping it''s worth the extra$$$ for the clarity.

Hope to hear from you,
Mrs T

It should be a very pretty diamond, and the crown/pavillion angles work together. However, it''s a bit deep and may appear smaller than it''s carat weight face up.

This one certainly has the potential to be a beautiful stone and is worth checking out in my opinion. It is a little deep, but not too bad.

small table diamonds are always going to have large depths. The small table should be more fiery.

Sounds great to me. Good numbers and great size point. It''s definitely worth a live inspection.

Thanks for the responses. I have the same concerns about depth and table, but who knows, this one just may speak to me when I see it in person which I plan to do.

I''ve been involved in this quest for a while and have had so many questions. It''s nice to know the members of PS are available with some very helpful insight. Hopefully the end is in sight and I will have a beautiful stone I can be proud to wear.

Thanks again,
Mrs T

I think if it isn''t too much of a pain to go and see this diamond then do so, it might be spectacular! It also might have a nice display of fire with the table and the angles, I would be very interested to hear what you think
