Hello all,

I was offered an outstanding deal on this stone from WF:

However, with the setting my GF likes, it puts it above my budget.

If I were to step back in color (about the same size) it now becomes in my budget. I like this stone:

I believe I already know the answer in that the color will be almost undetectable to the naked eye, but it bothers me knowing I skimped on something. Sheerah from WF has been outstanding in helping me thus far. I have been looking on HPD and BGD as well but nothing in that size or clarity comes up. What are your thoughts on these stones? Am I being to picky? I am not quite ready to pull the trigger so I am hoping something comes along.

Thanks!

Both stones are great! This is really easy, though. If the first one is not in your budget with the setting she wants, then you have to choose the H stone. The only other option would be to get the G stone now and put it in the least expensive setting and tell her you'll get the setting she wants later.

Sheerah suggested that perhaps I could go with this diamond to save some money:

She said it only missed the ACA designation because its polish isn't ideal. Do you think I would notice this?
This is a beautiful stone. I would stay within my budget because an "almost" ACA H is going to be just as beautiful as the ACA G. Either way you aren't skimping to get an H. You are being reasonable in thinking the extra $3k can go towards the wedding bands, honeymoon, etc.

You will not notice the polish.

You also could drop to an SI1 and still get a G color ACA.

Well, I have ACA earrings but my daughter has a Premium Select with excellent for polish for her e-ring and I would not be able to tell it apart from my ACA's. I enjoy having ACA's personally, but my daughter would never know those labels. So I think the decision might be influenced by whether your girlfriend is a perfectionist or knows anything about diamonds!
