Thanks for the resizing FireGoddess.

Between those two, I would choose the second. The first one is too deep for my taste, and the IS on the 2nd one looks like it has less light leakage out towards the points.

I found the AGA cut charts for marquise diamonds to be very helpful when I was shopping. http://www.gemappraisers.com/oldcutgraderules.asp

Because I wanted a cut class 1 stone, I was looking within the following parameters:

Table: 53-61.5%
Depth: 59-63%
Crown: 12.5-15%
L/W ratio: 1.8 - 2.0 (This is personal preference. The chart allows 1.75 - 2.25, but I looked at enough stones IRL before buying online that I knew anything more than 2.0 was too skinny and less than 1.8 was too fat for me.)

I wanted high color (D-F), but was comfortable with SI1 clarity as long as it was eye-clean. I ended up purchasing a stone that is D, SI1, Table 58.5%, Depth 61.5%, L/W 1.88. It can be difficult to find a well cut marquise; I was looking for a few months before I found just what I wanted.

Here are a couple at Whiteflash that look promising, but you would need more info:

0.74, F, SI1 $2121 (ask if eye-clean)
Depth %: 61.7
. Table %: 54
. Girdle: M-TK
. Measurements: 9.47-4.88X3.01 (L/W = 1.94)
. Polish: Very Good
. Symmetry: Good
. Culet: None
. Fluorescence: None

. Girdle: T-STKF
. Measurements: 9.88-5.23X3.09 (L/W = 1.89)
