Looking for the collective wisdom of all of your experiences. I have been on a quest for the perfect FC eternity for a couple of years now. I have bought, sized, sold, sent back, etc. I have a vintage T&Co band that the sale just fell through on, and another vintage band from the same era - both with high dome FC stones. The stones are well matched, other than the stones in the T&Co band appear to be ever so slightly larger (although I cannot be 100% sure until all the stones are unset).
Now that the sale of my band fell through, I got to thinking about having the stones re-set into a new band so I can end this circus (really, the joy is not in the hunt for me). I would need to combine stones from both bands in order to get a full eternity in my size. The legacy brand does nothing for me, so I have no qualms about deconstructing the ring. What I care about are the vintage stones - I do not want new cut.
The big question is who would best execute this project? I am a colored-stone gal, so I haven't the faintest idea who to start with. Thoughts? Opinions?
Many thanks in advance
