Guys I have been searching for what seems like forever (maybe like 6 weeks) for the perfect diamond and I think I might have found it. I was browsing Blue Nile when I found it and sent my jeweler an email and luckily he was able to order it in for me. It is a 0.74 F VS2 GIA Ex/Ex/Ex. Link here:

The only thing I am slightly wondering about is the depth being a flat 60.0%, I really like the fact that I am getting a much larger spread than a 62% or 63% depth diamond but when looking at it through a proportion scope the arrows arent perfect on it. The shapes are just about perfect but you have to sort of move your head around to see them all and cant ever see them all at once. Also the pointed ends seem to want to blend with the rest of the top facet on which they appear below. When my jeweler put a more 'perfect' H&A under the arrows are absolutely flawless, but its depth was 62.7% which is far too deep for my preference because of 'wasted carat weight. I did hear from one jeweler that was helping me search a couple weeks back that H&A stones are usually deeper than my search criteria which at the time was 60-61.5% depth. The second diamond was 0.81 carats and almost identical spread to the 0.74.
The hearts on the 0.74 were absolutely flawless though so that gives me some more confidence in the diamond. I compared the two the best I could trying to move them the same ways in the lighting to get a feel for light return, fire, and scintillation and I feel that the .74 performed slightly better, however both were stunning. So should I worry about the depth at all? Is it an issue that the arrows dont show up perfectly under the proportion scope?

I would not be worried about not perfect arrows. Based on numbers it should be a very nice diamond. You get better spread with 60% deep diamonds. I personally like longer LGFs (gives more splintery sparkles) in modern cut diamonds and smaller tables (more fire). And it looks like you got both of those.

My jeweler is sending to his other office to have Sarin scanned. I am going to use the new AGS software VPA to assess the results.I hope they come back near perfect so I can finally stop searching!
