This is listed as an "Excellent Cut" by a recommended site, but the table and depth seem less than ideal.

1.50
G
VVS2
7.08X6.17X4.39 mm
Depth 71.20%
Table 70.0%
Girdle > VTN-STK
Culet > N
Polish > Very Good
Symmetry > Good
Fluorescence > None
Special Notes > Excellent Cut

Will this diamond look much smaller than a 1.50 with a smaller depth?
Any other issues that anyone can clue me in to?
Thanks

I know some of you guys out there know a thing or two anout radiants.

First, let me say that Radiants have to be viewed to be appreciated. There are no certain standards as of yet on fancy cut stones, so you will need to see and compare stones to find the right one for you.

I am a Radiant lover, and can tell you that color is sometimes easier to see in a Radiant than a RB. Again, seeing the stone yourself will help you make that decision. It seems a bit deep and the table seems a bit large also. I also prefer a thin to medium girdle. The price seems a little low to me which is good if it is a great stone. It will face up smaller than a stone with a smaller depth. here is a diamond offered by Dirt Cheap Diamonds. As you can see, there is a sizeable difference in spread. This one is also 1 to 1.33 length to width ratio. A beautiful rectangle stone.

However, if this is a PS recommended vendor, maybe they saw something in this stone that stood out. Have you talked to them about this stone? With this price, it is certainly worth a call to discuss it.

Thanks you so much for the help.
I really like the stone you posted a link to, but it is a bit out of my price range. The rectangle shape is exactly what we want. I am hoping to stay under $9500 on the stone.

How would you recommend finding a great radiant if you live in an area that has very few to view? The local places here rarely carry these.

Thanks for the help.
