What do you think of this August Vintage Cushion? I have been wanting for a while. I thought this might be a good one since it's in my price range and almost 1 carat. GOG seems to have very good policies. I like the warm color. I was not sure about the cut grade.

I also thought about buying this AVC on Diamond Bistro her stone is so beautiful in pictures. Do you think all AVCs will look as nice as this one on Diamond Bistro. I think I would rather buy from GOG because of the guarantee, but this stone is so pretty.

Love looking at the AVCs, and those are both beautiful stones. What is your price point, if you don't mind sharing? Would you consider this 0.92 K VS2? It has an AGS 000 grade which may make you feel more confident. That said, not sure if you can really go wrong whichever way you decide!

I did look at that one you just posted. I was not sure how much difference the cut would make with an AVC. I liked the shape of the first one I posted a little more, but I have considered the one you posted. How much difference do you think the cut grade would make on an AVC?

When light performance gets the 0, that is what is most important. You can see the picture of the stone to see if the shape and faceting is pleasing to your eye. The advantage of buying from GOG is that you can always trade the stone in if you decide you want a higher color or larger stone later, not to mention you can return it if you don't like it in person. But if you happen to live in Australia, I imagine it would have some advantages (taxes and shipping) to buy the second hand one.

I really like the K stone a lot. I just think a lot depends on what you think of the actual color once you see them. If it was me, I would send for the K and the M so I could compare and return one immediately (if you can put one on a charge card temporarily or something).

This is what I would do! Then you could examine them in different rooms/lighting and better understand which catches your eye.

Thanks guys. That is a great idea. I think I will go with GOG instead of the second hand stone. It gives me such peace of mind knowing GOG has great policies and reputation.

The second hand stone just looked so nice in the sellers pics. I called GOG though and they said all AVCs are cut to preform the same. I live in the US so that makes it hard to buy in Australia with the shipping charges.
