One the H VS2 has a cloud in middle and I am worried I will see it since you can see no lighht return in little spot near center of idealscope pic. What do ya think?
I wouldn''t worry about it at all. It will be incredible and the cloud will not be noticeable or affect light return to the naked eye. H/VS2''s are an awesome combination that will be *white* and clear.

Ok- i am ALL SET!!! Thank you for the hand holding! I stuck within my planned budget (I have been saving for 35 years

) and am getting my first diamond studs just a tad bigger than I originally thought I could afford since going from G to H color!

Birthday gift for self is close to complete. Maybe I just will not open the box or wear them until my official birthday in October! (Fat chance of that!)

I am going with the WF thin martini setting in 18 WG.

Stones are both 1.205 H VS2 ACA''s

I will post ear shots when they arrive!

Perfect - congratulations!!! And we''re holding you to those pictures (and forget about waiting until October).

GREAT!! Congrats! Happy EARLY bithday to you!

Please wear and photograph them when you get them. It''ll put a smile on your face! And as we age we look better with smiles!!

Great!!!

Sounds amazing! They are going to be beautiful! I can''t wait to see pictures!

Diamonds arrive tomorrow!!! Here is the pic from WF. The thinner settings look great and more Leon-like than their regular martini settings. The lighting in photo does not really have much wow factor in terms of the stones- I hope once I get them in my hot little hands and in the sunshine they will blind me! Ear shots soon...

The settings do look great! I know you''re going to love them!!! Be sure to take some ear shots for us!

Can''t wait to see your pics!

Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk - PATIENTLY (not so much) waiting for PICS here! LOL

Here are ear shots! Yea! The only problem is I just discovered that one of my ear lobes is bent- meaning from front view I see tha side of setting rather than face of diamond. Dumb ears! They seem to look best in low light vs bright bright sunlight.

In the shade they glow!!!

Sometimes from wrong angle the sides of diamond look dark. I just need to keep my big head out of the way!

See what I mean! Even when I push backing really close to my ear- I only get a sideways view of diamond. Maybe my ears are meant to have smaller diamonds?

Beautiful studs!!!

They look huge in your ears!!!

I have a similar problem with one ear. The hole goes through the ear at a bit of an angle. I''m wondering if that is what is happening here. A lot of the time, I find I can compensate by angling the head of the setting a bit compared to the post. It will be less obvious with smaller studs. On the other hand, most people will NEVER notice!! They will just be blinded!!!

Just needs a little adjusting with the angles once in my ear- and if I can''t see diamond face- someone around me probably can! I don''t know if this picture will show it- but I just can not figure out how these diamonds look even brighter practically in the dark!

They are gorgeous! and BIG!

Enjoy!

Oh, wow, those are gorgeous!!! Maybe try some larger backs. I''ve heard people say that helps the stones sit on the ears better rather than droop.

Good idea- I once had those large backs with some huge fake pearls and they do work. Do you think WF has them?

Ok- now about the size thing- I think they might be- dare I say it- too big? I feel like a rapper or a pro footbal player! My friends think i am crazy because I live in LA where big is the norm. Now I am wondering if my original idea of 1.08 (these are 1.2) each might have been better- or basically anything over 1 ct starts to look big?

I think WF sends them with the largest back they have. You probably can get any local jeweler to get you some.

Well, size preference is so personal, it''s hard to give any advice on that. It has a lot to do with the size of the earlobes. I found that .75 to 1.0 looked as big as I wanted to go, so I got a pair of .75 (each) from WF. I am happy with that size for daily wear.

Without looking back, I am not sure that I remember if you said what size diamond you wear as an e-ring. I kind of like the total weight of the studs to be close to equal to the weight of the diamond ring (mine is 1.6, so the earrings are just a little under that). But there is no real rule of thumb. That said, I think 1 carat studs are a beautiful size, not too big, not too small no matter where you live. So I have no problem with either size you''re considering. Sometimes it really takes trying them on to decide.

Wow, they are gorgeous!

It looks great on you too! They look big but not too big.

I don''t think that''s something any of us can tell you, it''s personal. It''s what you feel comfortable with.

I will say, I don''t think the 1.08''s would look much different. If you wanted a noticeably smaller size, I''d go down to around .75-.85 each.

I find these studs absolutely beautiful and white !! Congrats ! As many have rightly said it here, size is a very personal matter but to my taste, these earrings are gorgeous on you

Enjoy !
