Hello,
I found an engagement ring that is at the top of my budget, so before continuing I would like some expert opinions to make sure I am getting what I think I am. I want a diamond that looks great with sparkle and characturistics that arn''t visible to someone like me, but has documentation that says this is quality. The wire discount price comes in just under $7,350.
Specs:
HCA: 1.4-EX
ex-ex-vg-vg
AGS :
Cut grade 0
Color 1.5
Clarity 3

Shape: Round
Carat weight: 1.02
Cut: Hearts & Arrows Ideal
Color: G
Clarity: VS1
Certificate: AGS

Depth: 61.6%
Table: 55.1%
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Medium blue
Measurements: 6.47*6.49*3.99

Crown Angle: 34.3°
Crown %: 15.30
Pavilion Angle: 40.9°
Pavilion %: 43.20

I can email pic''s of the diamond and Ideal Scope, but they are too big to post on the site.
Are there questions I need to ask the dealer about this diamond? What else should I know?
Thanks for any feedback to help in my decision making.

Numbers look good. Can you resize the pics and IS and post? If being sold as H&A, do you have a hearts image, as well?

I see the hearts photo, but I am having difficulty making a usable image. I keep trying...

Numbers and IS image looks good. Hearts image, not that great.

So what about the hearts image should I notice? Does this indicate lesser performance than I should expect from a diamond of this price or do some people simply like to have a perfect heart image because they are purchasing a H&A? Is this something I should mention to the seller and have them do a visual and provide an opinion or something? One thing I did like is that I found this same diamond on the Jerad site for just over $2,000 more than Pricescope, same report number and all. Not sure if I could have negotiated it down, but goes to show you this site is very helpful...

Ditto, hearts image could be better.

IRL, between this diamond with this image and a similar diamond with a perfect image, it''s close enough that you aren''t going to see any difference. It''s a beautiful stone. I wouldn''t want to pay a H&A brand price for it, though.

So waht exactly demonstrates poor hearts performance in this diamond?

Size of the V is not similar throughout, and the gaps between the V and the hearts are not equally space.

Wow! I had to go back and look at it closely to see what Stone-cold sees. I''m glad my eyes aren''t that old. I''m so glad I found this site.

Ditto. I was able to appreciate the differences only after I saw the negative of that pic.
