slightly steep in the pavilion angle, could result in light leakage. An Idealscope or ASET image will be needed to confirm if that is the case or not.

Hi Jillr,

It could be a great diamond but this crown and pavilion angle combo can sometimes result in light leakage as both are too steep and deep, what we call a borderline steep deep, especially as GIA numbers are rounded. This depends on what the angles actually are, steeper and there could be leakage, shallower then the diamond could be fine. The answer is to get an Idealscope or ASET image of the diamond, if it is with an online vendor they might be able to supply one on request.
