Hoping some of the experts will weigh in on this stone...the diamond would be set in an engagement ring.

GIA 3x Excellent
G color
Medium Blue Fluorescence (vendor said it faces up more like an E/F because of this) - not cloudy at all
SI1 (eyeclean)
HCA 1.3
Depth 61.9%
Table 56%
Crown angle 34.5
Pavilion angle 40.8
Medium to slightly thick, faceted

I only have access to Idealscope (not ASET) - is it worth paying someone to have a full Sarin report done? I can't see the diamond in person due to geography, but I have seen many pictures and videos and appears very sparkly.

It looks like a nice stone. The angles/depth/table all play well together. You don't need an ASET (IMO). We mostly use those
for fancy cuts. Rounds are usually more predictable. I think you found a winner.

IS is great for a round. You don't need an ASET for a round.

Looks nice!

Thanks to both :) I feel much better about the image.

One more question - I actually haven't looked at any stones with fluorescence. I know it's case by case, and very unlikely that it will be milky or hazy in appearance (and have been told by the vendor that it's not at all) - but I'm still not sure what to expect as I have been looking at G and H colored stones with no fluorescence. My understanding is that this stone will appear slightly blue in the sunlight? What about indoors? Given it's already a G, is there a chance it will look "too white" (i.e. fake)? I probably should have mentioned this is a decent sized stone, around 2.5ct.

Appreciate any comments! I have to act relatively quickly on this, I have the weekend to think about it.
