Yap, both look good from the numbers. Personal preference is #1.

Hi hp

Both have potential, can you get anIdealscope image for these diamonds? If the second is more budget friendly due to the $1200 price difference no reason not to consider it, but images will tell us more if you can get them.

i''ve seen the idealscope for #1 but not sure if i can get it here. it looks good..but i''m far from expert. I negotiated a price of 16,200 for #1 and 15,000 for #2. This seems really reasonable compared to bluenile. Anythoughts?

Price sounds a bit too good to me, usually a red flag. Ask if it is a trade-in/buy back stone. Also, get it independently appraised as a loose stone to make sure it is exactly the same as what the report states. A used stone might have some chip that can easily down-grade a VVS stone to a lower clarity grade.

Which vendor is selling these diamonds or are they with a jewellery store?

Well, in Little Saigon, Orange County, almost all the Asian/Vietnamese diamond jewelry stores are at least 1K better than bluenile or other brick and mortar stores in the region...it''s not just this one particular vendor. My friend has a similar experience in other chinatowns. they said it wasn''t a trade in. Diamond #2 hasn''t been inscribed and offered me to go w/ her to carlesbad, the GIA facility to get it inscribed.

When is the stone graded as stated on the report?

I agree with Stone-cold that the low price is a definite red flag. As such, you did not mention which lab graded the diamonds. Do you have copies of the reports?

If you post the certificate numbers here we can check that the information is correct and that they are indeed graded by an independant lab.
