I'm in disbelief a 2.00 carat is avail in my pricerange.... what do we think? The only thing "wrong" I see is the strong florescence which I don't mind with a J color...

Carat Weight : 2.00
Cut : Excellent
Color : J
Clarity : VVS2
Lab Name : GIA
Depth : 65
Table : 67
Polish : Excellent
Symmetry : Very Good
Girdle : TN-TK
Culet : Small
Fluorescence : Strong
Ratio : 1.37
Measurements :8.65x6.31x4.10

Obviously will want to get pics and see it in person, but wanting people's thoughts....

Can't tell you much about the stone by numbers. The table is slightly large, but not "red flag" large and with the right crown height it could be lovely. A picture would tell us a lot more. Overall it looks promising except for the fact that it is exactly 2 carats, which can sometimes mean it was cut for weight retention instead of performance. If it were possible for you to find a higher colored stone with lower clarity (but still eyeclean) that would be the preference of the majority of people, but I realize that shopping for a fancy shaped stone on a tight budget means sacrifices. I have seen a few lovely J step cuts. So as long as you think the person wearing it will prefer to have the 2 carat mark over a higher color stone of 1.7 carats or so, then I think you're okay. I can tell you though that most PSers looking for fancy shapes would prefer to give up carat weight for performance and for color (things that are eye visible).

Thanks for the quick response! I wrote to the dealer to see if I can see it in person when I'm in NYC later this week. We shall see. I don't care much about the carat size, more about the length (want to get upwards of 8mm if I can), but I was kind of shocked to see that one pop up when I was searching around today.
