Hi all,

I''ve been lurking pretty regularly for a while now, and think I''ve finally figured out what I want in a ring.

My BF has been telling me to find the ring I want, and just tell him what it is and where to get it. He wants me to get whatever I want, whatever will make me happy, because he says this is the last engagement ring I''m ever getting.

I''ve realized that the round cut just isn''t doing a thing for me. I''m really not attracted to it or the settings very much, but I at first thought that I should go with it because I''d end up being happy with it at some point. However, this is a ridiculous argument.

So now I''m looking for advice! I originally had my heart set on this particular Scott Kay: http://scottkay.com/bridal/products.aspx?categoryid=94&productId=1729&page=1&view=2
Engagement Ring with Matching Wedding Band target="_blank" Title="5137mprpl ring" Title="5137mprpl ring">5137mprpl ring[/url]
I originally saw it with a large yellow radiant in the middle flanked by a small white radiant on each side. I was in love.

I''m lplanning on looking for a white radiant, because I love the sparkle and look much more than the princess. My question to all of you: How do you think it would look with a slightly oblong radiant, flanked by two princesses? Do you think it would look better with a radiant flanked by two smaller radiants? I just am not quite sure, and need some other opinions besides just mine alone.

And do you think it would be more difficult to find the right 1ct radiant than say a 1ct princess?

Thanks to all of you in advance.

welcime Missmaia,

I could not get the second limk to open without an error, is there a style number I could look up on the MF website?

bump?

I''m wondering if it would look better with all radiants as opposed to a radiant flanked by two princess cuts? Would it look really weird or uneven with the combination? Has anyone ever ordered a Scott Kay ring with different side stones?

I''ve also noticed it''s not so easy to find those elusive radiants. I think perhaps most jewelers really only specialize in round and princess.

Thanks again for anyone''s opinions :)

Thanks for the reply!

I''ve started communicating with someone from Good Old Gold, and of course she presents me with the option of something sparklier. Gee whiz how I wish I could just make up my mind :) I think I will stick with all radiants, as I really like the setting I''ve found.

Good Old Gold seems to get a good reputation around here. I think if engouh folks have worked with them, that I probably will have a positive experience as well. I am still just a little nervous about dropping a lot of money down on something I buy over the internet, though.

I''ll let you all know how it goes!
