Opinion on price of Princess?

I''m new to this forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased a ring with the following diamond. May I get some opinions on whether I payed too much? The color is not the greatest, but the cut and clarity make up for it. What exactly is the Girdle and Culet? Also, is there a site that shows average prices of diamonds with certain qualities? I''m sorry if I sound like a newbie, thanks for any responses.

The numbers are nice on the stone on that stone ,the culet is the point on the bottom of the stone,the girdle is the part that is between the top crown and the bottom pavillions ,it is usually the part that the prongs are set on.

As far as the price, unfortunately you overpayed on this one,by almost twice as it should have been.Unless there was a very expensive diamond ring that was included in the price you've paid.

Go on different sites and check to see comparable stones.

Thanks so much for your reply. Unfortunately, that was the price of the diamond itself. The setting was another $1,981. Platinum with .32cts of accent diamonds. You should see the stone though. The sparkle it gives off is amazing!

The situation surrounding the engagement was tight, and this was the best 1.5ct we found in the area at the time. Oh well.

Don't feel too badly, Pretty Princess. While there are Cut Charts and guidelines to screen by, Princess Cuts really need to be seen in person. You say your diamond is sparkly and that is what really counts.
