Hello Welcome, I personally would be nervous to buy something from ebay. There are some really great reputable vendors online that you could buy from at a good price.

eta: the numbers on the cert are too small to read in order to give an opinion on the stone.

Ditto. Save Ebay for less expensive/less risk items, and stick with a reputable vendor for diamonds.

Especially when all sales are final.

The no returns policy on an item that could have been damaged, regardless of certification, is troubling, too.

You could ask the seller to send it to EightStar to be authenticated and then have EightStar send it to you upon payment to the seller or use an independent appraiser who knows EightStars like Martin Haske.

They aren''t exactly pricing it like an eBay sale. There are dozens and dozens of .68 E SI1 stones on pricescope ranging from $1700 to a high of $3000. I realize this is eightstar, but still....I think they''re asking alot.

I wouldn''t even consider a buy with a no return policy regardless.

Thanks all..... I''m new to this and after reading a lot and doing a little looking I''m now realizing that I don''t know sh*t

Your input was very helpful!!!

You can get the greatest deals on ebay. I just scored two diamond rings with over .5 center VS diamonds (no certs) for less then $350 each. Great fun and I have 2 more diamond rings at a fraction of the retail cost. But no matter what I believe in No Returns = No Sale. And for that price I would NOT buy. Just my two cents and I am a humble collector who goes more by instinct then anything else, and I never play on ebay with more then I can afford to lose.
