based on the pricing that i've seen on pricescope, it seems like a reasonable deal. would others agree? thanks.

Your pricing looks good, and the stones look very nicely matched. They should make a beautiful set of earrings.

That said, I would still get the crown and pavilion numbers on the second stone. Ask the vendor for a Sarin report. You don't want one to be blazing sparkles, and the other to be sitting there lifeless.

What kind of setting are you going to put them in? If you haven't considered it, I would consider a martini 3-prong setting. They sit very close to the ear (no drooping), and barely show, so it becomes all about the stones, and is a beautiful look.

Here's another pair of diamonds that I'm holding. Any opinions on pricing and cut would be truly appreciated.

The prices for ideal rounds are quite consistent around here - so what you see is what you get.

There are three diamonds on the "expert selection" at WF that you may find interesting - all VS and a tad less expensive. These are still of ideal proportions, but as a rule of thumb something must have deprived them from being branded "A cut above". Ideal scope images look tops and the arrow pattern is there... See for yourself:

0.75 H/VS1

0.71 G/VS2

0.75 G/VS2

IMO, there is a pair of ideal earrings among these with the H/VS1 matching the 0.71 G/VS2 perfectly for size. If ideal / "VS" happens to be a relevant contender for H&A / SI for you, these may just do the trick.

Actually, your choice is great - as long as these must be H&A.
