Hi,

I was wondering if I could some advice on the following diamond?

http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/E-VVS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1241642.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131

there are some white points on it if one looks at it with loupe tool. Is it normal? Are they photo defect? (i doubt that)

Thanks!

The diamond looks nice, as to the white parts using the loupe I doubt it is inclusions in VVS of that size, it could be they are showing up or it could be dust specks - best to check with the vendor but you will not see them in real life even if they are inclusions. It looks like the diamond might be slightly painted which is a form of girdle treatment, this can sometimes enhance the appearance of a diamond if so. It looks like a very pretty stone.

It looks like a beautiful stone. I'm not 100% sure what white points you are talking about. There are a couple of pinpoint inclusions or it could be some dust when the photo was taken.

Yes some of the uppers are painted, I''m not a fan of painting on shallower pavilion rounds but its not a huge issue.
