Hello,
Everyone I am brand new diamond world and forum. I have been lurking around forums and absorbing everything about diamonds and i notice, a great deal about diamonds is about preference, so after long weeks of researching and learning i have decided to go with one of the following diamonds.

I plan on setting it in the following setting
http://www.since1910.com/engagement/double-halo-split-shank-diamond-engagement-ring-scs1244-ps3511.aspx

All those diamonds to me seem like they're eye clean and i believe with the combination of cut (EX) and color, will be a beautiful diamond at a great value.
It seams to me that the feathers would blend in with the rest of the diamond, however i have concern about durability.

This is a lot of money on the table, so i wouldn't feel right without getting some more advance opinions and advice.

Any insight or ideas onto any of the above that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You all ahead of time.

before anything else I would call JA, have them put these on hold and have a gemologist review them

this forum has some lurkers that may snag up posted stones so if you are seriously considering these, i would call immediately

thanks i deleted the links, lol wow i probably gonna buy it now... i guess let the post fall i will just have to go with what the rep said the rep i was talking to the i believe he is being honest because my preference is cheaper.

congrats!

Whoa that was fast! Before you run and just make the purchase, I would get them on hold so that you feel comfortable posting the links again. No one will be able to snatch them up until you have received all the necessary information. I was late to your thread so I didn't see your choices, but you really need to request Ideal Scope images to evaluate light performance, and have their gemologist check the inclusions for durability issues and eye cleanliness. Not all GIA ex are created equal! =)

this one is my top contender ---- are these clouds noticeable a great deal?

2nd -- is the feather and cloud noticble? and are they cause for concern
about durability?

3rd -are the feathers noticeable? and are they cause for concern about
durability?

---------------------

that was just copy of my email i sent JA and they responded me back
they set me 40x pics and of all the diamonds. they also i assured theyre should be no durability issues with them.
I decided to pull the trigger on the my 1st choice although my 2nd choice looked like quite good.
i should get the diamond soon, i believe this to be my best choice.

my big concern for first one was the big cloud on the diamond but however i feel under normal lighting conditions and the whiteness of the stone i wont notice it until i point it out to my.

also over the last couple of weeks i have looked at diamonds up close and have seen a couple of "cloudy diamonds" and what i noticed way was of course the crystals and feathers of the i1s and si2s.

Worse case i will return and go with the 1 of the cushion cuts i have lined up or trade up towards a better quality diamond.
i am still open to opinions however :D

Is this for an engagement ring? I am sorry but I would never put an I1 diamond in an engagement ring. Did you ask if these stones are completely eyeclean from the top and sides? Because often I1 stones are not. I'd much rather have a nice SI or VS stone at .90 cts.

TOTALLY!!! Especially on the off chance WF will honor the trade up policies on it and what not! You could resell the setting if you don't care for it. Someone will snatch it up for a colored stone if you price it right.

Absolutely a better choice!!! That diamond will be gone very quickly at that price.

Apparently it was already on hold. Weird since i spoke to the rep during the whole process and never mention it was on hold. My card was charged and was ready to ship. I guess it was a really good deal. Lol back to square one. Lol im just gonna go to helzberg and up a ring

Here is your best deal and a MUCH BETTER DIAMOND. The jeweler can remove the stone and you can resell the setting for probably $1,000...spend less and get a much better stone than any of those 3 at JA. OR you can use the halo and attach to a split shank...sorry forgot what type of setting you were wanting.... I wouldn't advise going to Helzbergs, but to each his own.

I wouldn't wait on this 1.07 GIA G SI1...someone will snatch it up.

There's another vote for the same diamond! I bet most feel this one IS great! Get this one, man!!!

You won't get 1000 for that setting. Settings resale at VERY little return, plus it's 14k. You'll get 350 max for it.
