The time has come for me to make a board asking for help in (helping the future FI) to select one of the more significant purchases.

I currently looking at the cert as I don't think this is an in-house stone, the vendor is reputable and fantastic to work with so far :).

The Specs

Colour: E
Clarity VS1
Measurement 7.17 -7.19x 4.40
Polish, Symmetry, Cut EX/EX/EX
Florescence: Medium Blue
Table: 56%
Depth: 61.3%
Crown Angle: 34.0
Pavilion: 41.0
lgh:75%
Girdle:Thin-medium faceted
Cutlet none

Am I missing any info? :)

I don't have any idealscope images yet but if this looks like a keeper I will most likely go ahead and get the rest of the info and go from there.

I know the colour/clarity combo is fairly high but I am colour sensitive and the BF is clarity sensitive We would be happy dropping to F,VS2 or eyeclean SI1 but there is nothing well cut in the size I am looking for at the moment.

I was originally looking in the 1.4ish (1.5ct if it fit budget) range but this one (albeit being a little smaller) seems to fit the bill would it be that noticeable difference in size???

Any help much much appreciated :)

Dee, this diamond looks well worth investigating further! Excellent size too, there could be a slight visual difference compared to a 1.5 with direct comparison, not so much without I would think - and it all depends on the diameter measurements, this size is highly sought after!

Your numbers are almost identical to mine, so if it''s well cut, should be a looker. If I do say so myself.

I''d definitely ask for an IS pic.

And I ended up with a bit higher color and clarity than I was looking for too, as I also wanted a stone in the 1.40 range. So when I found one, I went for it.

Thanks Lorelei Skippy and Ellen,

I have emailed back a little earlier and am waiting for pics/IS etc the whole shabang :)

Ellen, I actually searched your diamond straight after I saw the cert for this ( I think it is an ISEE2 diamond like yours it shows the symbol and a serial number on the cert :) I have yet to confirm it though) and yeah the numbers are really close :D:D which is fantastic because both the BF and I

LOVE your diamond :).

Oh, if it has that symbol on the cert, it is indeed. And will be loverly!

No worries Ellen it is a stunner :D I have confirmed that yes it is an ISEE2 :D but it won''t be in for another 2 weeks but I have first dibs *happy dance*, I can''t wait to post pics/IS etc. Though in so many ways I already feel like this should be my diamond ~ Does that sound strange?

Thanks diamondseeker I have to agree for me the mind cleanliness of the E, VS1 is great and knowing the other half should have problems locating the inclusion is awesome :D

Now I just have to wait eeek.

Phew that means there is hope for me yet :D I am just hoping all goes well, even better that she arrives early :D:D:D.

Must be patient...

I don''t think anything could be more perfect.

Can''t wait to see pics!

Awww thanks Spark :)your such a sweetie :)

Deelight, I thought of something and thought I should mention it. If you are wanting an easy way to identify your stone, I would ask Jon to have the number inscribed on your girdle, he will do that. (I "think" at no charge, or a nominal fee, can''t remember) With VS1 clarity, there will be no inclusions you can easily see, and the logo on the table is next to impossible to find.

Anyway, just wanted to give you a heads up!

Thanks Ellen :)

Yahha that thought popped into my mind as well :)
