Just wondering if I could get some input on this diamond from WF. The specs are listed below as well as the link. I''m planning on proposing within the next couple of months, but this looked like it might be worth making the purchase a little earlier. The dimensions seem a little small for a 1 ct, but I''m hoping that quality will make up for it. I''m pretty set on D color and VS1 is as low as I''m willing to go as far as clarity. I was hoping to keep the ring altogether below $10K. I just want it to be special and something that she can show off at the same time. Thanks in advance for your comments!

PS - I''ve been thinking about setting it in the legato sleek line (pave or not --> I''m not sure!)

This diamond looks great and will be gorgeous set in that setting, no worries!!! Welcome to Pricescope!

That''s a gorgeous stone!

As for the setting, I love the Legato. Does she like things a little more blingy? if so get the pave. If she''s a bit more reserved, go with the plain. But either way it will make a stunning setting!!

That''s a very nice stone. I visited Whiteflash last week and took a look at a few ACA princess cuts, but unfortunately missed that one. Had I seen that one I might have snatched it up :) All in all I ended up with an excellent stone though.

That looks like a gorgeous stone! But are you sure you need a D/VS1? You could find a stone that looks just as white and clean down to the G/SI1 range and even lower! In fact, you could get a bigger stone for less money if you don''t restrict yourself to D color in particular...

Even going down just ONE color grade and dropping the clarity to SI1 (if eyeclean) will get you a bigger diamond for less.

Alternatively, if you go to a G in color and only drop clarity down one grade to VS2, you could save almost $2000 on a stone of the same size as the one you chose.

As a third option, you could keep the color at D and drop clarity (again, provided it''s eyeclean) to save $2k on another gorgeous ideal cut stone.

Or keep clarity at VS1 and drop color to G for a whopping 1.23 ct stone for almost the exact same price.

Of course, if you''re dead-set on D/VS1, that''s a great diamond to go with. Just some suggestions that could save you money or get you something bigger for a similar price.
