hey everyone.. im still looking for a diamond and i found this one:

1.01 H si2
Cut VG
polish E
symmetry E

6.47x6.50x3.92 mm

Table 58%
depth 60.4%
crown < 35.5
pavillion < 40.4

culet - none.
girdle - thin

the gia cert diagrams dont show on the copy of my emailed copy..(wierd).. but in the comments "pinpoints are not shown" and keys include, cloud, feather, needle.

Its a blank diagram although im sure with it being si2 it must have some thing that is not showing up on the scan..

i dont think this person in NYC can get me a idealscope or other reports... im not even sure its a H&A stone..

ok what do u guys think.. on the phone she says that nothing is visible under the table..

she did say that it was eye clean.. but i dont trust her opinion. ( she is honest but i think she is not as critical as i am) i will get to view the stone but require me going to the city which takes about an hour from my work. PITA

anyway.. i will call her tomorrow and ask her why there is symbols in the diagram but have nothing shown in the scan and a more detailed review about this stone..


My biggest concern is that i would have loved to get this is a G color and have the cut be excellent..
her price quote on this stone was $4000. which fits in my budget but i wouldnt have minded paying a bit more for those other two things.. how much more is G and EX cut worth? would you even see a difference between VG and EX cuts with everything else being the same?

I wouldn''t touch it without a full sarin scan and an IS image.
With those averages you need to know what is in the averages and what the minor facets are.
IS is the next check after that.
 
i live about 2 miles from GOG.. but i just cant afford the diamond i want in their price range.. They have very quality stuff but i just cant afford it at that price.. at the same price i would have to go down atleast a color grade and/or .10 carats.... i dont blame them bc i know its bc they have more expenses than some of those stores in the city..

The question was how much for g color and ex cut...

G well cut.. 5k-6k and up....
