Opinion needed on whiteflash pendant, should I do it??

Hi,
I have been looking for what to do with my original round engagent diamond. Its just under a carat.

I love, love the Whiteflash half bezel pendant in platinum. I am going to email admin to try and post a photo of it. Or anyone else can I would appreciate it. I am such a computer illiterate

I would love to have photos posted of both the 1/2 bezel pendant and 4 prong basket earrings together so you can see what I mean visually.

Anyway, I think the style would be perfect for everyday wear. I am a stay at home mom so I want something casual but that really shows off the diamond since its a very pretty stone.

Here is where I am hesitating. I have diamond stud earrings set in a 4 prong platinum basket. They are .75 carats each (1.50 total weight).

I have no interest in resetting them because I love the classic look. I have just started wearing them again (I posted in diamond talk about how I had problems with earrings but after wearing these everyday lately I have had an easier time with them )

Will it look funny to have a half bezel pendant and 4 prong earrings? The metal is the same (platinum) and the shape is the same.

Do earrings and pendants need to be "matchy matchy" or will the pendant look fine with the earrings since they are both white diamonds in platinum, round shape? The color and quality of the earrings and my engagment ring to be made into a pendant are similar and very well cut.

Thoughts, suggestions?

HONEST opinions please Shoud I go for the pendant I''ve been eyeing? OR would it look bad with my stud earrings??

I think the half bezel would be fine, I don''t think things need to match up that precisely. I wear my four prong basket pendent with both my martini studs and my 4prong studs...I dont think it really matters.

Does anyone think a full bezel would be better? I am concerned with a full bezel covering up the diamond and affecting light reflection. And I think a full bezel would flip on my neck more.

I love that half bezel setting for a pendant and I agree with Matatora that there is no need for it to exactly match the way your earrings are set. I used to wear princess cut studs with a full bezel set round pendant. I actually prefer the look of that half bezel to the full though.

LOL, you are so right. ONly the diamond obsessed would even worry about such a thing!

Seeing those photos together, I really love the setting even more.

Has anyone here ever sent their jewelry to whiteflash for a reset?

I''ll have to call them and see if they will do that. I have the ring insured on a rider policy through state farm right now and then when the diamond is reset I will need to get it reappraised in the new setting.

Yeah, I will get to wear that diamond again. It just sits right now since I got my 3 stone ring.

I tried to ask my huband last night and his eyes sort of glazed over and said I should do what I want.

I have a full bezel diamond necklace and wear 4-prong stud earrings, a combination similar to yours. I think it looks nice together. The necklace and earrings are far apart enough, and my earrings don''t face forward since my ears are tapered toward my head so it''s not like it''s totally obvious that the pieces don''t match. I think the half bezel is beautiful, and you should go for it!
