I have admired this particular piece for a very long time and finally brought her home today.
Antique 18k filigree and millgrain three stone diamond sapphire ring.
The center sapphire is GIA certified 1.55 carats heated and has the most astonishing color. A rockstar in direct sunlight. Throws flashes of royal blue in subdued light. She mesmerized me to the point I’m afraid I will crash the car admiring her!
Flanked by two very old OEC’s. They are charmingly mismatched.
The one that captivated my heart is the chunky high crown G/SI. Lovely flower petal facets that light up rainbow. Her sister is an I/SI2. The chunky G does the heavy lifting but together they display a nice wall of fire.
I was on the fence with this piece for awhile and then I decided to loupe it.
I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes at first.
What is happening here????
It’s kozibe! Illuminating back at me on the chunky G diamond!!!
There it was. Something I had only read about. The culet repeating back at me through the facets.
After that I was a goner…

:love:Looooove.
How do you feel about the height? I love those kind of gallery details but I'm really averse to a tall ring. They terrify me!

I understand your question
I test drove it for a week and it was super comfy!!!!
Just a perfect fit for me.
Not to high.
Difficult to describe but it’s not as “out there” as it appears.

Gorgeous new addition! I really love her detailed setting :)

Wow congrats! This is sooo pretty!

Thanks guys!
I was starting to panic that my antique-lovers were kinda meh.
But seriously, she is a rockstar in person.
I literally can’t get over it and I literally can’t capture it in photos.
And that’s saying a lot since I have a lot of bling and look at a lot of bling.
So it’s gotta be pretty amazing to obsess me like this.
It’s difficult to describe.
Here’s my best effort to articulate.
I have had bigger and what are considered “better” or “better pedigreed” sapphires and diamonds but these three together are simply magical.
No certification on the diamonds but I’m convinced the G is really an E/F.
The sapphire is perfectly clean and perfectly royal blue all the damn time.
The setting is not for everyone but it suits me to the ground.
Sorry. I don’t mean to “sell” you guys on this piece it’s just I wish I could show y’all in person…..

The colour of that sapphire is :oops2::kiss2:. Love the ring and your joy in it too!

oh man, that's to die for!!! looks so perfect on you, what a gorgeous blue! :kiss2:

I wish I can visit your store, you got some serious good finds!
