I have found the perfect setting at James Allen but I am not sure if I can find a diamond that I am sold on at their site. I am looking at princess cut diamonds and would like to buy an AGS0 certified diamond to be sure I am getting a good cut. I cant find any AGS rated princess cut diamonds on their site. I have requested idealscope images for a couple of diamonds I liked but I am by no means an expert and I don''t think I would have the confidence to buy off of that information only. How quickly would return policies, resizing, etc. get complicated if I bought the setting and sent it to another vendor to set their diamond. I also feel like it could be a nightmare shipping something so valuable all over the place for setting, resizing, etc. Has anyone had an experience working with separate jewelers for settings and diamonds.

Which setting do you like? It may be available elsewhere.

It is easier to buy from the same vendor. We can help you interpret the information you get from JA so you pick a winner.

Here is a link to the setting I like.

I haven''t been able to find anything else close enough to it at other sites so far.

I have requested idealscope images on these two diamonds.

It looks like the 1st one is now listed as "on hold" so it may be gone. I will post the images when I get them. People on here seem to be very knowledgeable so I definitely appreciate your input.

JA should be getting you ASET image which is what you want for fancy cuts not idealscope image.

JA will put the stone on hold for you when you request the images to be taken.

Yup, get ASET images. Then come back here.

I am still waiting on the images from James Allan. I did find a similar setting at WF and have found a diamond I really like there. It is an AGS0 and looks really good to me. Any thoughts on this one?

Looks awesome!

What are your thoughts on the inclusion slightly below and to the right of the center of the diamond? It seems to really stand out on their enlarged picture. From what I''ve read on here VS2 should not be noticeable to the naked eye but the picture makes me a little nervous.

Ask WF if it is *totally* eye clean, even from 6 inches or closer. A VS2 is usually safe but it is best to ask. You cannot judge from the photo.

Well I am down to these two.

Sorry, I dont know how to make them "clickable".

I am leaning towards the "H" just due to the price comparison. Color seems to be the only thing of lesser value and I dont think I can justify the extra cost for one color grade. Thanks for everyone''s help. I think just a couple of weeks monitoring this site can help someone who knows nothing about diamonds make an educated decision and get more value in their purchases.
