Hello Everyone,

I never knew the process of buying a diamond would be this overwhelming and exhsuting! hopefully my research and the assistance from all of you will pay off in the end.

I would like your opinion on this diamond. It has an AGS certificate. I will attach pictures. Thanks! I think this may be the one but would like confirmation! the only thing im scared about is the AGS report says it has a cloud and a crystal even though it is VS1.

0.778 carat, round diamond.
Color: H (AGS 2)
Clarity: VS1 (AGS 3)
Depth: 61.3
Table Size: 57.2
Crown Angle: 34.7
Pavillion Angle: 40.8
Cut/Polish/Symmetry: all graded 0
Girdle: Thin to Medium, faceted (3.5%)

The diameter of the stone is 5.90-5.92 x 3.62 mm

Here is the ASET

IS/ASET looks good... Don''t worry about a VS1 cloud, at VS1 it is very difficult to find with a 10X loupe by a trained person so what is the chance you seeing it without a loupe in normal viewing condition?

Here is part of the AGS report

Thanks

price is about $3K. Is this a good price for this diamond?

If you are going for a branded H&A, that is about the best price you can get.

Looks good too! Check it is eyeclean to your standards by asking the vendor, they will be honest with you.

I would choose option 1 if it were for me.

#1, unless you are really hurting for that $100. Size difference wise is negligible, but you go up 2 clarity grade.

One would be my choice even though both are beautiful stones.

Another vote for #1

Mine would be #1 too. Do you have a pic of it?

thanks for all your replies. I think i will go with diamond 1. On the Sarin report, it says that the cutlet is small (0.5%) and on the AGS report, it says that the cutlet is pointed. Any concerns there?

Thanks again, and sorry to ask so many questions!

No concerns, small and pointed culet means virtually the same thing and is not an issue, read more here.

Nope. None, pointed, very small and small culets are all in the ideal range. It is normal for the Sarin to be slightly off of the AGS report due to calibration. AGS would be considered more accurate.

No worries on the questions, that is why we are here. How else are you supposed to learn? (And how do you think we learned?
